The rooms where great for what we needed for a 2 night stay. Super friendly service. It was a little odd that we had to take off our shoes but I get it. I wish there was a big warning saying being slippers. I left my SUPER expensive diamond necklace there in the room and they shipped it to me expecting nothing in return. Very nice small business and they even let us store a boat there for 2 nights. I would for sure use. Then but bring slippers.
A group of 22 of us (eight couples, a family of five, and one single) rented the entire inn for 3 nights over New Years. We were given full access to the kitchen to prepare meals. For years, we've gone to AMC's Cardigan Lodge, but AMC now insists on only "Full Service" at Carigan, and we are not interested. The hikers among us hiked both full days - there are many good trails nearby the Inn. On the last night, we unanimously voted to return again next year.
We stayed a week at the Inn with a camper at the Freestyle camp next door. Our room was comfortable, clean and homey. There was plenty of common area for eating takeout and working on the computer. The breakfasts were great and the innkeepers are accommodating, warm and generous with their advice and time. We will definitely return.
This place is a total hidden gem! Cozy, comfortable rooms in a unique 1830s farmhouse-style inn. Welcoming staff, lovely grounds, delicious breakfast. Great home-base for hiking/skiing adventures or just a weekend getaway for any reason.
A delightful weekend experience! Booking on the phone was easy. The house is a bit rustic and our bed could have had more support, but we were able to totally overlook any shortcomings because Erica was the best hostess! She went above and beyond in creating gluten free options for breakfast and hand picking flowers for my wife when she found out it was her birthday. All the notes she wrote to us were a really nice touch. Her dog Sam captured my wife's heart. If you are ever looking for a place to stay near Waterville Valley, I highly recommend that you give them a try!
My friends and I stayed at the Mountain Fare in for a reunion with 10+ couples, and it was perfect! Super easy drive home Boston, and in a very easy location. The Inn was super cute and had everything we needed.... and more! The rooms were clean and spacious, and there was plenty of space to hang out, dine, prep meals, etc. The Inn keep was very kind and accommodating, and planning was easy since she was so responsive. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful stay here this weekend while visiting Loon Mountain. Susan was very easy to work with and understanding when we had to delay our visit due to weather conditions. The inn keeper Erica is fantastic! She provided a wonder breakfast spread in the morning that got us ready to hit the slopes. The room was very clean. Stayed here for the Freestyle American ski camp next door. The Mountain Fare Inn was great! Bed and Breakfast. Nice rooms, nice area. The proprietors were awesome and gave this out of towner some really cool places to hike! Will stay again for next year's camp!
